Pioneering bioelectric therapy for dry AMD

i-Lumen Scientific is a clinical-stage company advancing novel approaches to retinal disease grounded in electrophysiology.

Rethinking how vision loss is approached

i-Lumen Scientific was founded around the belief that electrophysiology plays a fundamental role in maintaining visual function in those with retinal diseases such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

Our scientific approach is informed by two decades of research in the electrophysiology of the retinal pigment epithelium cells (RPE) and its critical role in healthy vision.

We are pioneering the development of bioelectric therapies to improve vision by restoring RPE function and the health of photoreceptors and other neural cells.
